informative. GALA HISTORY The current
Gala has now
entered its tenth year of fund raising activities for local causes. Initially
its conception was to create funding for the refurbishment of the then
Inverallochy Hall, now Invercairn Community Hall, which was in need of major repairs. Coupled with lottery
funding, theme nights and Gala donations the hall reached its required amount
over a five-year period. Due to the success of the
various galas and enthusiasm of the committee and volunteers, many thousands of
pounds have been raised for local charitable organizations from the twin
villages of Inverallochy and Cairnbulg. With both youth and
experience working hand in hand it is hoped that the gala will carry on for the
foreseeable future, continuing to benefit the entire community.
