Monday Evening (Treasure Hunt)

         This year One hundred and seventeen children took part in the treasure hunt, nine up on last years record.  As withTreasure Hunt previous years the entrants were given a "Question sheet" which consisted of questions to answer and items to collect, the questions all related to local knowledge. Prizes for the winners were presented an hour and a half after the start. 

 

 

Tuesday Evening (Hurdy Race and Race night)

          Large crowds turned out for this years Hurdy Race, sadly Jack as Mr Beanonly seven Hurdies took part, and although it was a beautiful, dry evening numbers were down from last year.  Is this to be the last we see of an age old tradition of "maakin" hurdies?  Prizes were allocated to the Best Decorated and Best Engineered.  

 

 

(Junior Stars in their Eyes) The cowgirls

Following the Hurdy Race a Junior Stars in their Eyes show went ahead with nine acts taking part the third outing of this new event event attracted over three hundred people.  

 

 

(Race night)

  Now into its fifth incarnation, the race night is proving to be a Race Night popular night out bringing in around three hundred hundred "punters", each managing to "shout and bawl" on their horse(s) in the hope that they might back a winner.
